Once a month, Spice Scottsdale transforms from a local boutique into a whimsical craft social filled with snacks, supplies, creativity, and people looking to make something new.
Our monthly craft events were created for anyone searching for fun things to do in Scottsdale, a creative night out in Arizona, or an easy way to meet new friends without the pressure of a traditional networking event.
You do not need to be an artist. You do not need to arrive with a group. You just need to be willing to sit down, try something creative, and enjoy the process.
More Than a Craft Workshop
We love a good craft, but the real purpose of these events is community. It can be surprisingly difficult to meet new people as an adult, especially in a city where plans often revolve around bars, restaurants, or large events. We wanted to create something slower, more personal, and a little more whimsical.
At a Spice craft night, guests gather around shared tables, choose their materials, snack, talk, and create together. Some people come with friends, while others arrive alone and leave having met someone new.
The finished project is part of the experience, but the conversations, laughter, and feeling of making something with your hands are what make each night special.
A New Craft Every Month
Each month features a different creative project. Past and upcoming craft-night ideas we've done are: custom leather journals, charmed photostrip keychains, waist chains, vision boards, custom embroidery, decorated lighters, wearable art, and other playful projects inspired by what our community wants to make.
We announce each month’s craft calendar on Instagram at @spicescottsdale, along with dates, project details, ticket information, and any special collaborations.
Tickets are limited and sold through the links shared on our Instagram, so following along is the best way to see each event before spots fill.
Collaborating With Local Arizona Artists
Some of our favorite craft nights are created in collaboration with local artists, makers, and small businesses. Working with Arizona creatives allows us to bring new techniques, ideas, and perspectives into the store while introducing our community to the people behind local art.
These collaborations may include guest instructors, custom project kits, specialty materials, demonstrations, or workshops built around an artist’s own creative practice.
We want Spice Scottsdale to be a place where local artists can share what they do, meet new customers, and create experiences that feel personal and memorable.

A Whimsical Night in Scottsdale
Spice craft socials are designed to feel like the opposite of a serious art class.
There are snacks. There are tiny charms, ribbons, beads, stickers, scraps, colors, and more supplies than anyone probably needs. There is room to experiment, change your mind, and make something slightly weird.
We want guests to leave with a project that feels personal rather than perfect.

That is one of the reasons creative events can be such an easy way to meet new people.
