Created by the women behind Spice Scottsdale, Spice Mrkt brings our love of color, vintage fashion, handcrafted details, travel, and personal style into every swimsuit and resortwear piece we design.
What began inside our Scottsdale boutique has grown into a size-inclusive Arizona swimwear brand worn on runways, featured in national fashion coverage, and supported by customers who want swimwear that feels different from anything found at a traditional retailer.
From a Scottsdale Boutique to an Arizona Swimwear Brand
Spice Scottsdale was built as a creative retail space where customers could discover curated vintage clothing, custom jewelry, charm bars, handmade goods, local events, and pieces with personality.
Designing our own swimwear label felt like a natural extension of that world.
Spice Mrkt was created because we wanted swimwear that felt expressive, flattering, and memorable. We were looking for bold silhouettes, playful details, interesting fabrics, and more inclusive sizing, but we often felt like the options available were either too basic or too disconnected from how real people actually wanted to dress.
So we decided to create it ourselves.
Today, Spice Mrkt is a women-owned, Indian- and Mexican-owned swimwear brand based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Our collections are designed for customers who want statement swimwear without sacrificing comfort, fit, or individuality.

Spice Mrkt focuses on handmade and small-batch production.
Rather than producing endless quantities of the same style, we create limited collections with close attention to fabric, fit, construction, and detail.
Many of our pieces are made using thoughtfully sourced materials, including deadstock fabrics when available. Working in smaller quantities allows us to create swimwear that feels special, collectible, and connected to the people who designed and made it.
Small-batch swimwear also means that many Spice Mrkt styles are available in limited numbers. Once a fabric or design sells out, it may not return in the same form.
That is part of what makes each collection feel personal.

As an Arizona swimwear brand, we understand that swim season does not last for only a few months.
In Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tempe, and across Arizona, swimsuits are part of everyday life for much of the year. They are worn to hotel pools, resort weekends, lake trips, rooftop events, desert getaways, vacations, and summer gatherings.
We design Spice Mrkt pieces with that lifestyle in mind.
Our one-piece swimsuits can be styled as bodysuits with vintage denim, skirts, or linen pants. Bikini tops can be layered under oversized button-ups or worn as part of a complete resortwear look. Cover-ups can move from the pool to lunch, a beach club, or an evening event.

Spice Mrkt is inspired by the visual world surrounding Spice Scottsdale.
Our design process pulls from vintage clothing, family histories, markets, travel, color, handmade embellishment, textiles, old photographs, resortwear, and the personal style of the women around us.
The brand is founded by women from Indian and Mexican backgrounds, and those perspectives naturally shape the way we think about fashion, color, celebration, detail, femininity, and storytelling.
We do not design around one narrow trend or one definition of beauty.
Instead, we create swimwear that feels layered, expressive, and personal. Some pieces are romantic. Some are bold. Some feel nostalgic. Others are designed to make an immediate statement.

One of the biggest milestones for our Arizona swimwear label came when Lizzo wore the Spice Mrkt Arna One Piece in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
Seeing a design that began with our small team in Scottsdale reach a major national platform was an unforgettable moment.
